LAUGHTER THROUGH TEARS
Tonight I cried myself to sleep,
A release that was long overdue to keep.
I laughed at the irony of the scene,
For I had been trying to let my tears stream.

Feelings amassed, sorrows piled high,
Emotional constipation held them nigh.
I chuckled at the strange relief,
As my laughter mingled with tears, a mix so brief.

Darkness swathed me in its heavy cloak,
But I knew within darkness, hope awoke.
For before the sun paints the sky so bright,
It gets darker still, a canvas for night.

And so, the tears flowed like a gentle stream,
Washing away the pains, as in a dream.
I wept and felt the weight lift away,
Sorrows disappeared, no longer to stay.

In the quiet of night, I found my release,
A cathartic journey, a moment of peace.
Laughing through tears, I let my heart mend,
Hoping for tomorrow, as this night comes to an end.
FEARFUL SOUL
In a world of woes, a tale unfolds,
Of a soul so tangled, weary, and bold.
A person lost in a whirlwind’s flight,
Seeking an end to their endless plight.

They longed to break the chains that bind,
Escape the shadows that haunt their mind.
But fear of endings barred their way,
A comedic twist in this dark array.

“I’ll end it all, but how?” they sighed,
In morbid humor, their thoughts collide.
To jump from cliffs, they shuddered in fear,
“What if I’m scared of heights up here?”

With pills and potions, they did debate,
“What if the cure becomes my fate?”
In cosmic irony, they foresaw,
Death by the cure, a mortal flaw.

They pondered guns, but paused to muse,
“What if I’m bad at aiming, or worse, I bruise?”
In this tragicomedy of life’s design,
Even death, it seems, had a grand design.

Their ultimate dread, a heartfelt plea,
“Who’ll read my note when I’m no longer me?”
In the sea of chaos, they drown in woe,
“Alas, my words shall never know!”

So they wrote their note with a comic twist,
A tale so funny, it must persist.
“Dear world, I bid you a last adieu,
But first, a joke, to see this through.”

“If I were a veggie, I’d be a sprout,
I chickened out, I have no doubt.
A clumsy soul, afraid to die,
But don’t let that bring tears to your eye.”

They left their letter on the kitchen table,
Hoping someone would read, if they were able.
With laughter and tears, they found their peace,
Their dark despair, now a moment’s release.

For in this comedy of life’s grand show,
A bittersweet truth begins to glow.
The fears we face, the pain we bear,
In connection, we find solace rare.

So if you’re feeling lost and blue,
Reach out to someone you think you knew.
The punchline of life, it’s love, you’ll see,
Embrace the comedy, and set yourself free.
ECHOES OF DOUBT
At times I’m lost, not sure how to feel,
Questioning if you’re there, if you are real,
Watching me suffer, doing nothing to heal,
I wonder, is this your will, your grand ordeal?

Mama told me to pray, to find my way,
Reluctant, I obeyed, hoping for a brighter day,
Night and day, I knelt and prayed,
Praising and worshiping, my faith on display.

Yet silence lingered, no answer to my plea,
Confused, I question, what’s your will, what could it be?
Watching me in misery, not offering a decree,
Is this a test of faith, or do you not hear or see?

Oh, Divine presence, are you truly there?
Can’t you perceive my pain, my burden to bear?
Do you listen to the cries, the whispers of despair?
In this lonely struggle, please show me you care.
FAITH IN DREAMS
In dreams, prayers danced with grace,
A world where hope embraced its place,
Wishful thinking, or faith profound,
Where truth and fantasy are bound.

Realistic knowledge speaks its truth,
A sober voice that brings forth ruth,
Not all dreams find their way through,
Yet in believing, hearts renew.

To doubt or have faith, an inner strife,
For logic wars with dreams of life,
Accepting truths that reality brings,
Yet yearning for what the heart sings.

Is faith a folly, a foolish act?
Or strength to face life’s daunting fact?
To hold on tight to dreams we chase,
A brave endeavour, a wondrous grace.

In faith, we soar on hope’s strong wings,
Ignoring naysayers’ whisperings,
For in the realm of dreams, we find,
A truth that’s deeper, love entwined.

So dream with prayers, and have no fear,
For in faith’s eyes, dreams will appear,
A touch of magic, courage’s guide,
In dreams and faith, we’re unified.
